GENERAL FACTS:
Healthy well lubricated cartilage acts as shock absorbers for joining bones. Maintaining healthy cartilage is a normal function of the dog's body. However, as dogs age they can lose some of their ability to produce adequate amounts of joint lubricating fluid and essential nutrients needed to repair damaged cartilage, thus causing stiffness and discomfort in joints.
